Baronial Candidates:
Master Eule, Baron von Haginbald, and
Mistress Ariella Christine, Baroness d’Ailles

Look toward the rolling hills of Ansteorra and behold two who seek to further serve the Barony of Bryn Gwlad. Here doth approach Master Eule, Baron von Haginbald, Lion of Ansteorra and his Lady of Summer, Mistress Ariella Christine, Baroness d’Ailles. Enflamed with honour's fire, they ride out from their estates to offer service, vowing not to spare the sword of faithfulness, nor the fire of affection.

This noble realm of Ansteorra hath long flowered by conquests of war, high acts of honour and exalted deeds of Her people. To that end, we, Eule and Ariella, humbly offer, should it please Their Majesties, The Heirs and the stalwart and noble people of Bryn Gwlad, to add our names to the rolls of all the noble Lords and Ladies, serious of honour and gentle deeds, intent on the estate and privilege to serve as the Baron and Baroness of Their devoted Barony of Bryn Gwlad.

Know us by our deeds and accomplishments, which include: Long-time members of the Society for Creative Anachronism (Eule since 1980, Ariella since 1992) and the Barony of Bryn Gwlad (since 1994), Event Stewards for Her Majesty Larissa's Queen's Champion (2001), Bryn Gwlad's “Death of Elizabeth” Candlemas (2003), Bryn Gwlad's “Field of the Cloth of Silver” 25th Celebration (2004), Co-Stewards for the premiere Lysts at Castleton (2006) and Stewards for the second (2007). We have also served in staff positions at Gulf Wars for over 10 years (as Arts and Science Coordinator and Falconry Liaison). We are founding members of the “The Baron’s Men”, Ansteorra's premiere theatrical company. We are site liaisons to Don Shamino's estate where we have been instrumental in securing the site for the SCA and have consulted on most capital improvements to the site (e.g., village, castle, ship, The Curtain Theater, equestrian arena, paving of the roads, utilities). We have both served in the capacity of Deputy Seneschal of Bryn Gwlad on numerous occasions and Ariella (as Chretien) as Bryn Gwlad's Baronial Equerry.

The people of Bryn Gwlad humble us in giving their consideration to allow us to serve and if we are granted the honour of this exalted position, we vow to never indulge in buffoonery, scandal, deceit, or falsehood. We shall be frank, generous and brave. We shall help strengthen those in need and further guide strong minds to perfection. We shall show no jealousy of those around us and shall distribute favor and bounty, within our means, to those deserving and we shall gird ourselves for war and be ready to gain honour and renown for Ansteorra and her blessed Barony of Bryn Gwlad.
