Bryn Gwlad is home to many talented people who have formed guilds to share their knowledge and their joy of learning. There are no requirements for attendance other than an interest in the subject, but please check the Bryn Gwlad Calendar in advance for the time & location and to ensure that any particular meeting has not been cancelled or re-scheduled. The Choir of Bryn Gwlad welcomes you! We perform art music from the Medieval and Renaissance periods. The ability to read music is helpful, but is not required. We are a seasonal guild which meets August through the first week of February, with rehearsals every Thursday evening from 7:00-9:00. We perform at Fall Baronial, Yule Revel and Candlemas, and also at public demos. During our hiatus (February through July) we meet infrequently on an as-needed basis. Our rehearsal space is at the Wells Branch Recreation Center -- 3000 Shoreline Drive Austin, TX 78728 (check the calendar to verify). Contact the Guild Principal if you have any questions.

The Stained Glass Guild is a group of artisans dedicated to learning the history and art of period stained glass. We meet to work on panels, discuss the history and culture surrounding the artform, and occasionally take field trips to museums and select churches. No previous experience is neccessary. Please contact the Guild Principal if you wish to attend so that safety concerns can be addressed.
