Soon the next Seawinds Gustatory Defender will be chosen. Competitors are asked to present their best single bite morsel - sweet or savory. The morsel can come from any culture the Norse would have touched during the Viking Age. These could be Norse, Iceland, Britian, Ireland, Europe, Rus, Ottoman, Mediterranean, Silk or Spice Roads. Royalty and Landed Nobles will chose the best morsel presented to them during the sideboard lunch
Competitors should prepare a minimum of twelve morsels for the judges. Offerings of morsels to share with the populous during the sideboard are most welcome. Two small cards (one for the judges and one for the sideboard) are requested to be displayed with the morsels. They should list the Name of the Morsel, Origin of Recipe, ingredients (allergens highlighted), one recipe source, and name of preparer.
