Due to severe weather, the Coronation ceremony, previously scheduled for January 12-14 in the Shire of Brad Leah, has been rescheduled. The Crown has done the Barony of Bryn Gwlad the great honor of choosing us to host Their Royal Highnesses’ Coronation ceremony concurrently with Queen's Champion, on January 26-28.

Tournament Format

The basic format of the list will be the traditional double-elimination format, but with a twist.

Note that the format for the first round has been changed to allow time for Coronation ceremonies in the morning.

The first round will be an Order of Precedence fold. All competitors will line up in order of precedence. The line will be split in the middle and folded in half, so that the highest-ranking competitor will face the lowest-ranking, the second-highest-ranking will face the second-lowest-ranking, and so on.

For later rounds, every participant’s name will be written on a token. Tokens will be placed in a bag and names will be drawn.

The Guardian of the Queen’s Hope tournament for youth rapier fighters will also take place. Her Highness would like to meet with all youth entrants at a special Guardian’s Tea in the morning.

Her Royal Highness requests that those who plan on competing in her Queen’s Champion tournament or the Guardian of the Queen’s Hope tournament would please send Letters of Intent at least one week beofre the event. Her Highness plans something special for all who send in letters, plus there will be a special prize or two for the most creative ones.
