Each youth activity should take between 30 and 45 minutes.
Chidren's Arts & Sciences Competition
There will be a children's Arts and Sciences competition for all youth 12 and under.
This competition does not have a theme. Entrants can make toys or games, garb, decorations,
camping gear... anything that strikes their fancy.
Entrants do have to submit documentation—at a minimum, a completed copy of
the documentation form which is
also available in the January "It Cometh". It's only a quarter of a page long, just four
questions.
Like the rest of the A&S entries, the children's displays should be set
up in the hall by 11:00 a.m. and collected at 3:00 p.m. Space will be
set aside for them adjacent to the other A&S displays.
The winner will be called into His Excellency's court to receive the prize:
a wooden chess set, with a book of instructions and chess techniques, in a
hand-embroidered carry-bag. The chess pieces are stored in a painted wooden box,
the inner lid inscribed with the occasion and date of presentation.
